SIMONA & JIŘÍ
Concrete
SENO Atelier is co-owned by Simona Vojtěšková and Jiří Vojtěšek, who share not only this creative space but also a deep passion for art, design, and architecture. Their first joint project is a series of concrete wall artworks called Litone—a fusion of linocut and concrete (from the Czech words linoryt and beton).
Their minimalist concrete pieces often feature the circle as a central motif—symbolizing the connection between past and future, the cyclical nature of life, and the beauty of the present moment in all its imperfection.
For Simona and Jiří, concrete is more than just a building material—it’s a medium of artistic expression. In the creative process, they experiment with concrete consistency and manual techniques, allowing the material’s natural unpredictability to shape the final form. The result is a unique blend of intention and chance, where the works subtly touch the boundaries between visual art and sculpture.
Architecture
Jiří Vojtěšek (b. 1990) has been a co-owner of the KEEO Architects studio since 2013. Before founding KEEO, he gained international experience at the renowned Dutch firm NIO architecten and the Finnish studio Tengbom, where he focused on conceptual and spatial design.
KEEO Architects operates in the fields of architecture, urban planning, and landscape design. In 2019, the studio was awarded first prize in the “New Building” category at the prestigious Architects’ Grand Prix for their project “Stezka nad vinohrady” (Trail Over the Vineyards) — a striking lookout tower in Kobylí, South Moravia.
Painting
Simona Vojtěšková (b. 1986) is a contemporary Czech artist whose primary focus is painting. Her creative portfolio also includes hand-tufted wool tapestries and the previously mentioned concrete artworks (Litone).
In her paintings, Simona explores the world of abstract flowers, working intuitively with layered compositions, invented floral forms, and a signature love for the color pink. Her vibrant and emotionally expressive canvases are created through a spontaneous process that emphasizes depth, texture, and movement.
Her artworks can be found in private collections throughout the Czech Republic and abroad.
SENO atelier
SENO Atelier is the latest creative project by Simona and Jiří Vojtěšek. Their vision was to create a multifunctional space that serves as a sales gallery, a venue for exhibitions by other artists, a branch of the architectural studio KEEO Architects, and a place for art workshops and creative classes.
The name “SENO” (hay in Czech) is more than just a poetic reference to the countryside — it’s a playful nod to the couple’s surname, Vojtěšek, which comes from the Czech word “vojtěška” (alfalfa). And dried alfalfa, of course, is hay. The name captures their personal story, their love of nature, and their roots in South Moravia.
You’ll find SENO Atelier in Velké Pavlovice, where Simona and Jiří live with their two children and continue to create art and architecture.
